Welcome the 2nd Annual Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Benefit Bicycle Ride.

This unique bicycling event begins and ends in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the town built on chocolate. Here streetlights are shaped like HERSHEY’S KISSES chocolates, and the air is filled with the same wonderful aroma of cocoa. The ride will tour the picturesque Hershey area and the pastoral Lebanon Valley of Pennsylvania. This event is open to the general public, and all bicycle riders are welcome. Rain or shine. Helmets are required.

This fundraising bike ride will primarily support Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc, and small percentage will go to American Cancer Society to support PA Hope Ride.

PA Wounded Warriors mission is to help restore wounded warriors to good physical, mental and emotional health. It’s an all volunteers organization that has 501©(3) charitable status form he IRS.



ALL routes are subject to change at the organizer discretion. Cue sheets will be posted soon.
Adult Regular registration give you access to ALL routes and ALL rest stops + event T-shirt and lunch (for pre-registered riders)
Family Friendly route registration are ONLY for the family route and Hershey Middle School Rest stop. Lunch and event t-shirt at optional purchase. If you want to ride other smaller routes  that is at your own risk!.

All rest stop will have water/gatorade, snacks, fruits and other treats + portable restrooms. Lunch for pre-registered riders will be served at the Middle Hershey School – times will be posted soon. START/FINISH rest stop closes at 4:00 PM All other rest stops 3:00 PM


Mt. Gretna Route – YELLOW   (41.5 miles)  LINK to the route

This 41.5 mile route will take you through farmlands east of Hershey. The route will go through Cornwall, few gentle rollers, two very gentle climbs in Mount Gretna, and back to the starting point though less traveled roads. The route is perfect for new riders. Two fully stock rest stop at mile 15 and 29. The road marking for that route will be Yellow.


 Memorial Lake Route –  WHITE (34.1 miles)  LINK to the route

Memorial Lake loop is one of our most scenic routes. It will take you through Hershey, pass the Hershey Park, and once you cross route 39, you are in different world. His route will take you through creeks, forests, and on the way back, some stunning views of the mountain ridges. Also, around mile 8.5 you may be able to get a glimpse of Bold Eagle nest. The lunch stop is at the Memorial Lake State Park. Those view won’t be the only one to get your hurt pumping. The Memorial Lake route have few small tough rollers on the way back. Nothing you can’t handle.

      Ft Indiantown Gap Loop RED (24.miles) LINK to the route

This routes start and ends at the Memorial Lake Rest Stop. There is no rest top on that loop. There will be a very small portion of unpaved road – it’s a pack dirt road and it’s only few hundred feet. The route also includes a BIG roller, a small climb, and another small climb with few rollers in between. The route has been modified from previous events to avoid busy roads and intersections.




Route starts and finish at the Hershey Middle School. This route will take you through northern areas of Hershey. Pass next to the mansion, through an old cemetery which will give you nice view of the Hershey Park, via some fields, and next to the Reese’s factory. Last few miles are though Hershey friendly neighborhoods.

Hershey Countryside  – GREEN (15.8 miles) LINK to the route

Route starts and finish at the Hershey Middle School. Route will take you through the regions south of Hershey. It include a one very gentle climb.

Family FriendlyORANGE (5.8 miles)  LINK to the route

NO REST STOPS ADULTS on Family Friendly rides are not eligible for lunch (optional purchase), or use of other routes rest stops. If anyone would like to ride a regular route (Memorial Lake or Gretna) after done riding with their kids, he/she needs to purchase regular adult ride pass ($35). Thank you.

Days Inn – Second closest place to the starting line

Hershey Travel Inn I recommend this for those who travel on a tight budget.

There are many hotels in the area. We are trying to get some discount for the participants. – Updates will be posted soon.

Welcome the 2nd Annual Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Benefit Bicycle Ride.


First 50 riders who register before March 26th will receive free event Polar Water Bottle.

Entry fee will increase by $5 after April 15 (No increase for PA HOPE riders and Wounded Warriors)

You have to pre-register by APRIL 7 in order for us to guarantee your T-shirt size on the day of the event. After that, you will get whatever fit best that is available, or we can mail it to you AFTER the event.

Same with ordering water bottles. We will order extra, but cannot guarantee we will have the water bottle at the day of even if ordered AFTER April 10.

The ride offers 4 primary routes starting and finishing at the starting location

  • Mount Gretna route – 41.5 miles
  • Memorial Lake route – 35 miles (+optional 22 mile loop)
  • Hershey Highlight route – 15 miles
  • Hershey Countryside route – 14 mile
  • Family Friendly route – 6 miles

Riders will have an option to choose any and all routes.

Event details and schedule

The event will start at the Hershey Middle School on April 23th, 2016. Registration, and check in for pre-registered riders will start at 7:30 am and will continue till 10 am for selected routes. It’s a “show and go” event. Last rest stop will close at 2 PM.

Registration fees

  • Regular Adult Rider – $35 (Free Event T-shirt and lunch)
  • Family Fun Ride (6 miles) (lunch and t-shirts available for purchase)
    • Adults-$10
    • Teenagers – $10
    • Kids under 13 – Free
  • PA HOPE Participants – $15 (No event T-shirt, lunch available for purchase)
    • Password required. You will need password to complete registration. You have to be registered for PA HOPE RIDE to register with this discount.
  • Wounded Warriors (Purple Heart recipients)- FREE (+Free lunch. Event -shirts purchase at discount)

Rides include cue sheets, well-marked roads, SAG – Support vehicle, lunch for preregistered riders, and fully stocked rest stops.
